We require all new clients to receive a skin test at least 48 hrs prior to any colour service and any existing clients returning after 12 months. This is to ensure there is no reaction to the ingredients used in our colours, as you can become allergic at any point even if you've previously never had a reaction.
Absolutely!! We love pictures!! Its a great way to get a clear idea of what you would like to achieve. Just as long as you understand its for inspiration only and we won't/ can't copy exactly how the picture looks as we are artists not magicians!!!
Olaplex is a 3 part system. Number 1 and number 2 are applied in the salon with your colour and styling service. Number 3 is designed for your home maintenance. We will advise you on exactly how best to use it so you achieve the best and longest lasting results. Olaplex is a bond building treatment designed to repair broken disulfide bonds inside the hair strands. Making your hair stronger and acting as 'hair insurance' whilst colouring. These bonds can be broken by chemical thermal and environmental damage. We recommend Olaplex with all our colouring services and to invest in number 3 at home if your hair is particularly fragile or your trying to grow your hair. Olaplex is not a conditioning treatment so its important to use along with a professional shampoo & conditioner.
Everybody's rate of growth is different but if you are still having roots then it is growing! It is just becoming fragile and breaking. I find the biggest culprit is heat damage so step away from the straighteners invest in Olaplex number 3 along with a salon shampoo and conditioner. If you are going to use thermal styling make sure you use heat protection. If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
We recommend that you do not shampoo within 48 hours of your appointment. The longer you wait the better. When you do wash it make sure you invest in a professional shampoo and conditioner. This investment will prolong your colour and only use lukewarm water as hot water causes fading with each wash. Use heat protection when styling to minimise damage.
I use toners to adjust the shade of your hair after it has been lightened. This also takes away that raw "just been lightened look" to a expensive, elegant looking blonde. Don't be afraid of a gloss or toner this is not a solution to a problem. It's to make sure that you achieve the best results. Generally, toners last between 10-25 washes. It is important to use the right products to maximise the life of your tone. If it starts to look brassy or dull you can contact us to schedule a gloss to refresh your look!
